I was in my annual sales meeting last week, where many sales managers were presenting their numbers and their strategy for this year. When ever someone had to present their powerpoint, they had to disconnect the previous user's lap top from the projector wire (Which is very located in once corner of the room) and then connect his/her laptop to the projector wire. Keeping the diffculty apart, during this switching ritual, even one of them almost dropped his new thinkpad, which would have been a disaster for him.
Anyhoo.. I was thinking during that meeting that there should be something that could solve this problem. The problem is : I dont want wires in the room, I want to be able to sit where ever I was sitting and switching between one laptop to the other should be pretty seamless.
We are moving into our new building in the next two months and in the new facility, this problem should not be there anymore..
So, while I was in the meeting room with my thinkpad (Wireless enabled :-) of course), immediately I connected to the internet and searched for "Wireless Projectors". Walla... There you are.. maaan, I love this Googling stuff or what.. As expected, I got some results and there are projectors in the market, that are available with Wireless Networking capabilities.
Here is the small tutorial on Wireless Projectors if you are interested.
I think this Wireless capabilities are making our daily lives so much easier... Kudos to the Wireless guys..
Cheers,
Steve Lokam
